Open AVG Driver Updater and click on "restore" tab. Follow the relevant instructions depending on your preferred restoration method.
Check the status with Realtek sound card and keep us posted.

Hello, I see others have the same problem.  I have not had sound since running avg driver updater.  Please help.

I am really frustrated!  I did the restore on all the sound/audio drivers.  Now I have sound on most pre-recorded MP4s but not on Vimeo-hosted mp4s.  I'm reluctant to restore everything because of any  other problems that it may cause.  I've lost about four whole days trying to restore sound.  Please help asap.  I can't afford to waste any more time on this and it just seems to lead to more and more problems.
