Hi Ranjani,
I did as you said, removing AVG and then re-installing it and for some days all was fine but I started a”Whole Computer Scan” today but it has “hung” at 1% and again does not respond to “Stop”. In the previous few days I had run “Whole Computer Scans” with no problem. Obviously, I cannot keep on removing and then re-installing AVG especially since it does not seem to have solved the problem. Have you any further thoughts on this issue?
With my thanks in anticipation of your helpful reply,
Wayne

Hi,
I am running the free version on Windows 10 and have a problem with "Whole Computer Scan" which "hangs" at about 1% completed and does not respond to the "stop" command. Anyone have any thoughts on this issue?
Fingers crossed,
