Not able to remove avg web tuneup even with avg remover tool

Hello Kush,

I understand the inconvenience.
When you ran AVG removal tool, does it show "AVG Antivirus" for removal?
I request you to delete "AVG Web TuneUp" folder from "C:\drive–>Program Files–>Program Files (x86)" folders manually.
Once this is completed, get into control panel "uninstall progrma" window and try uninstalling AVG Web TuneUp.
It will show error message as it has already been removed and ask you to click Ok to remove the entry.
Once you click on Ok you will not have Web TuneUp on the list.
Keep me informed about the status.

AVG protection was removed with AVG remover tool, but afterwards i  couldn't connect to internet as local area conn doesn't have a valid IP config / windows7 op system got corrupted which was corrected today.Any way thanks for help provided.

i want to remove avg antivirus from control panel to reinstall it later as the task is not responding while accessing it,it shows a blank white screen

Okay, if it says as AVG protection then it should be older version.
Please click on it and proceed with the removal.
Keep me informed about the status.

it reads "avg protection"on control panel not "avg antivirus"

Kush,
This shouldn't be happening. I would suggest you to reboot your computer in Safe mode with Networking http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-reboot-your-computer-into-Safe-Mode and check if you are able to access the Internet.
