I am getting the same pop-up, and I just got the ultimate version. It goes through the other steps, but when it gets to fixing startup & shutdown, the error pops and windows makes the spring sound like something broke. Here is a picture what we are talking about.

The dialog is as described by the OP
James,
Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall AVG Ultimate using AVG remover tool?
Thank you.
I too have the exact error message, is there any solution to this?
this is what my crystal ball says:
avg borked up the form creation. delphi problem.
seems, people have been experiencing this for 114 years. yikes.

btw. 16.42.2.18804 still has the bug. i can't reproduce it reliably. but it seems to happen when it reaches startup and shutdown wizardry.

Hello. I got a free trial of AVG PC Tuneup and I got the same message "Not enough timers available" in its first system scan. I send you a screenshot of the problem. What does it mean? I'm positive on buying this software but this message it's annoying.

Using AVg PC TuneUp, I get the window, "Not Enough Timers Available" with an "OK" button. PC TuneUp seems to function correctly, tho…Is this a problem?
Hi!
I updated the software and the problem is happening yet.
Thanks,
Claudio
