Not protected AVG Mac

How do I share the screenshot?  I can't see how to attach it to this reply.

After having AVG free working fine for a long time I am now getting an AVG dialog box stating 'you are not protected'. I click on 'Fix all' and the mac 'security and privacy' box comes up saying that software from AVG was blocked. I click on 'Allow' but nothing happens. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but same thing happened. Advice please.
