Nothing working after TuneUp

Hello Jenn,
Thank you for reaching AVG Support Community.
This is not the expected behavior of the AVG TuneUp program.
We sincerely apologize for the difficulties you are currently experiencing.
We will certainly look into it and help you.
Please open the AVG TuneUp > Speed up > Background & startup programs >click on sleeping programs and check if Chrome browser or any other necessary windows & Microsoft programs are listed in sleep mode.
If yes, wake the application and check the status.
Have you made any other recent changes on your computer?
Please uninstall if any other conflicting Antivirus program or cleaner program are installed on your PC.
Keep us posted.
Thanks for your understanding.

I ran AVG tuneup tonight and when I tried to reopen my Chrome browser, it took more than two minutes before It loaded and even longer for me to be able to type anything in the address bar.  When it finally let me type name in, it froze up and said not responding.

my Windows own search bar no longer lets me type in it, my power features (shut down, restart, etc.) and I’m at at standstill and also in the middle of many projects with deadlines.   Unfortunately, I didn’t think to create a back up before I started a tuneup process.  Is there any way to undo whatever tuneup did to my pc?

I have a Dell Inspiron with an Intel core i3 7th generation processor, running windows 10…. Basic laptop, using my own private router in a rural setting for Internet access.., no one is close enough to hack through my router and my general AVG antivirus and protections software, didn’t detect any issues.

Thanks.
