Notification, crossed off day

Why on God's Earth would there be a notification of an upcoming alarm to wake me up an hour before I actually need to in order to tell me that I don't need to wake up for another hour? And why is the day of the next alarm crossed off? And what should be the next alarm is apparently going to be skipped according to the count down showing the number of hours to my next alarm so that if I could actually sleep because this notification had not just woken me up, the alarm would not wake me up when I actually need it to? Has Alarm Clock Xtreme always been AVG? Did the app and its support get terrible whenever AVG bought it?
