Also, let us know if you ran AVG Clear or remover tool to uninstall AVG?

I use "AVG Antivius free" for a few months and since yesterday the avg icon on the command bar  (under Windows 7) shows a white cross in a red circle and when I open AVG, a message in red indicates "You are not protected, the protection of the computer is disabled". On the right side of this message, the "Repair now" button does not work. I uninstalled and reinstalled AVG free but there is no change.
Can you help me, please ?
