I installed AVG System Tuneup because I was told it would remove the popups continuously occurring in the lower right hand corner of my computer. After running all of the programs it said I had the popups but I needed to purchase their Internet Security program, which I did. Now I don't get as many of the original popups but every time AVG detects one it displays on my screen an even more obtrusive popup telling me it stopped the popup. I thought it was suppose to remove the malicious program not just tell me every time it is doing its dirty work. Also, I installed the driver updater only to find out it does find all of my outdated drivers but I need to purchase another program to update them all. Now every time it finds an outdated driver I get another popup. How do I remove the malicious programs that AVG keeps detecting? Do I have to purchase another program?
Hello Bob.
We'd be glad to look into this. If you receive a repeated threat detection pop up from AVG Internet Security, please click 'See details' and share a screenshot (http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot) of that pop up here. Regarding the AVG Driver Updater pop ups, you seem to have installed a trial version. We'd request to uninstall the trial version if you do not want to buy to stop the pop ups.
