May I know which AVG program have you installed in your computer ?
And have you tried to reinstall AVG program after you got this error ?
this issue occurs due to missing AVG program files,
you can solve it by reinstalling the program.

Hi Avinash - done all of that but the 'avguix.exe not found' is still there - I haven't downloaded AVG yet but can't stay unprotected - any further suggestions? - while I'm waiting for a response I'm going to try the removal tool again and then re load the AVG 2015 and see where that gets me ! Thanks anyway Max
The other messages are not AVG related but are just as anoying as they keep returning during the start up procedure and these relate to the orbi cam and its softwear which I have tried to delete from the computer. (found new . . . needs disc / softwear . .. )
Does anyone recognise the 'entry point not found' box and if so any advice as to how to rectify would be much appreciated as I am thinking that it may be affecting the AVG performance .

OK now - repeated your prosedures and installed AVG again and now back to normal, except for orbicam issues - many thanks Max.

Hi Hariharkumar - thank you for responding. As you've probably guessed I'm not particularly gifted with regard to computer technology. I currently have AVG 2015 free edition and in an attempt to rid myself of the problem I deleted/uninstalled all AVG programmes and reinstated 2015 about 2 weeks ago - I was about to try again but thought I would ask here just in case I was missing something obvious. I have found references to the avguix.exe file in the system - so it appears to be there, that's all I can tell you.
Will not try anything else until I hear back . . many thanks Max
