Please help. I have avg free running on vista. Last week and update put a new version on to avg. Since then, I am unable to access many urls, ms outlook etc etc and, even AVG support is blocked.
Now it has become ridiculous as I never know if the web site I'm trying to access is having problems or, AVG is blocking it!
I have had to switch off the online shield as it's dreadful.
Any help to resolve this would be much appreciated as I have no idea why this is happening now.

Hi, did as you suggested and thought I wouls wait a while to see if anything changed.
The online shield still blocks just about every website. This happened after the major update / upgrade you guys did (obviously something in there).
I have another pc running win 10 and that appears to be running correctly after the update / upgrade.
This is driving me nuts, please help.

I request you to reinstall the AVG Antivirus free program once and check whether the issue persists.
1) Please click on this link: https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe to download the AVG Clear tool.
2) Run the tool and click Yes twice when the prompt appears.
3) It will take you to safe mode and the clear tool window will appear. Tick the check box to "Uninstall Zen and Framework" and click on remove.

- Once the removal is done, restart computer option will appear. Click on it and it will boot into normal mode again.
5) Run the AVG removal tool that is mentioned on this article: How to uninstall AVG software once which will completely remove all the traces of AVG. If no AVG program is shown for the removal, please click on "Run Anyway" to proceed with the removal.
