You have mentioned that you got a message to "Do a new download of AVG Zen"
Did you try downloading the Zen from that message?
Does it have any option to download?
Dear Support Team
After I had installed the last update for AVG Protect it wasn't possible to open AVG Zen. I received a massage - Do a new download of AVG Zen or contact our support team. For this purpose I should open AVG Zen - this did´t work.
Please tell me the way how I can solve this problem.

Hello Hans,
We would request you to run AVG remover tool to completely remove AVG and then re install it.
Please click this link http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe to download and run the AVG Remover tool.
1. Please select the AVG products which are shown in the remover tool window and then start removal process.
2. After the remover tool process is successfully finished, restart your computer.
3. After the restart, manually delete the AVG Remover folder in the C drive of My computer.

Now I have solved my problem - all three programmes AVG Protect, AVG Zen and AVG TuneUp are working well. Nevertheless I would like to make the following remarks :
1) I was totally confused when the menu asked my for a license key - the only one which I have was from 2014 and has not been accepted by Your menu.
2) To reach this status it was necessary to uninstall all programmes and re-install all 3 programmes.
Time effort : about 3 hours !
3) I have now to integrate this computer into my home-network to see the status of all PC's of my network. Hopefully without any further complications. Do You have an easy way how I can get displayed all the other computers an the AVG Zen Start page ? Please let me know.
Summarizing all my expiriencies I did not find a particular reason for the problem I had. The proposesed way "how to solve it" was successful but extremely time consuming.
