Dear Sir,
I appreciate your answer but I had followed the proposed qurantine procedure from AVG SW anyway and let it took all the neccessary actions, so I think the files has been deleted and I don't know if I can restore them by adding an exception. I will try to find them or reproduce the error and if I manage to have them back I will submit them for analysis in order to contribute all that I can from my side to this effort.
Would however appreciate if you could assure me that by adding an exception it would not harm my system. Is it a known false positive? Do you have any other feedback about this?
Thank you again
Hello to the community,
I 'm using AVG Antivirus free and just half an hour ago I received a message from AVG saying that a threat has been detected. The file was:
c:\windows\temp\opera installer\installer.exe
I recently installed Opera as an additional browser from the official site of Opera. Based on the creation date of the folder I think that the folder has been created during the installation of the Opera browser so it has to be legit.
Is this a false positive? Does anyone else received a similar warning from AVG?
I also want to mention that AVG had been updated a few minutes before the detection.
Any information about this would be appreciated.

Hello Ioannis,
Please be informed that since the detection is from the temporary folder we couldn't assure you that whether the file is a legitimate one. It is always recommended to remove all the detection's of the AVG program to keep your PC more protected.
Thank you.
