Optimization Failed

So since this snapshot, it has rendered my hard drive unusable. I can't create new files, I can't delete old files, and I can only edit current files. I don't understand what is happening, but I want to play my games again.User-added image

Since updating to AVG PC Tuneup Program Version 20.1, defragmentation does not work on one of my external drives. Right next to the driver description appears the message ! Optimization failed in orange font. I cannot find any troubleshooting notes to help me determine why this has happened with the 20.1 version. It was not an issue with the prior version. Any ideas how to resolve?

Appreciate your efforts in working towards fixing the issue, Michael.
Would you be so kind to clarify whether the external drive is Hard disk drive & not Solid state drive?
Also, click on Details in the scan result beside the specific drive (optimization failed) & then share us the screenshot for better clarity.

Windows 10 but I received technical support to remedy the problem via shared access. It required uninstalling and reinstalling the program. Apparently something went afoul with the update.

We appreciate your time & efforts for trying to fix this issue, Michael.

To further investigate this, we've sent you an email with instructions to contact our additional support.
Please check your inbox/spam folders to find the email and use it to contact them.

Ran repaid and tried again. Same problem. I have the internal C drive plus and E and F external drives.
