Original False Negative further inquiry

No, that's not good enough. You need to escalate this to the proper team who will analyse the sample once again and write a detailed response as to why it was classified as a Malware and what exactly it does on a system after it was ran.

I'm not going to wait another 4 days for a basic template reply to which I'll have to respond by explaining why I requested further analysis on the sample.

This forum is for these exact type of situations.

The sample can be downloaded from Virustotal. The link is posted above.

John,
I understand the situation.
I suggest you to Submit the Sample again and our Concerned Team will get back to you.

Hi,

I submitted this sample: v****total.com/#/file/f771b1ad418de452867793a374fafe0c1df0cb8b66054c4b4d6194a49fec2ee5 a few weeks ago with the suspicion it was infected. At that time AVG had it as a clean file. To my surprise, a few days later I received a reply saying it is indeed malware. I've submitted in other places, everyone else saying it's clean after 2nd looks.

I would like this file to be reviewed again while additionally explaining thoroughly what the sample does when ran.

John,
I can understand your frustration.
Unfortunately, I'm unable to find any previous cases regarding your Request. Hence you were requested to Submit the Sample.
I also see that AVG and Avast detects it as a Win32:Malware-gen and has been detected Unsafe by many other Labs as well.
I've submitted your Request to the Concerned Team and they will get back to you regarding your concern.
