This is a duplicate of this problem:
Suddenly receiving alerts for OSX/AMC.P | AVG
And there are plenty of sreen shots as well as users who are badly impacted by this error.
Please either recognize there is an error or tell us how to get your software off my computer.
Sadly, I never took any screenshots, but they are identical to the ones others have posted. In order to get the minimum apps working again, I had to uninstall AVG, otherwise AVG would prevent reinstallation. Since I'm no expert, I followed AVG's suggestion and deleted ALL the threats…permanently as it turns out. Now, with AVG uninstalled, I can reinstall only some programs. Found out this morning that it also crippled some of MAC os Sierra's funtionalities as well including its ability to recognize any printers or scanners, so I'm thinking of reinstalling Sierra. It also completely obliterated my ability to use Adobe CS6 suite of programs. This is still truly the tip of the iceberg for AVG! If I can't reinstall my Adobe CS6 very soon, then I lose money and that really sucks. I'm just not sure it I should wait on AVG for a fix…if there will be one, or if I should just start reinstalling Sierra. Expert advice would be much appreciated.
