Hi Steve,

Without me being able to see what is happening it is hard to estimate what the situation is.

Please provide me a screenshot of the Scan Results. Click Here for the steps to create a screenshot. You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

AVG scan produces list of outdated programs. No menu, no left click offerings. 
Two questions. Is it necessary to delete these programs and , If so, how is it done ??
