We understand your concern, we will definitely help you with it. Could you tell us if you have tried disabling AVG and checking the issue once? If not, please disable AVG from your System Tray, there will be a AVG Icon beside the clock. Right-click on the AVG Icon and then click on ON to turn it "OFF".

Thanks for your prompt reply to my question. I have tried re-running the Mailmerge programme with AVG disabled, but the problem persists, so it looks as though AVG is not its cause. I am trying to systematically eliminate possible causes. The first time I used Libre Office Mailmerge it worked perfectly, but after that it has never worked. I strongly suspect my ISP is treating these Mailmerge messages as potential SPAM, and so is blocking them, because the Mailmerge programme when tested is making contact with my ISP  SMTP server without a problem. On the other hand, I have no problem sending Group messages via Thunderbird. Any other suggestions would be appreciated, but quite understand if this moves out of the realm of AVG advice.

We appreciate all your efforts in trying to fix the issue, for your satisfaction, you can once remove AVG Protection completely from your computer and check if the issue still persists. If the issue still persists then it is not caused due to AVG, but however if the issue is resolved after the removal of AVG Protection, please get back to us and we will help you with it.

I have no trouble sending out emails through my standard email account… However, when I try to send out e-mails using Libre Office Mailmerge, they will not go. Something is blocking them. I know that McAffee antivirus blocks Libre Office Mailmerge as a default, but this can be changed to allow them to go. Does AVG also block Libre Office Mailmerge e-mails? If so how do I  get round this? I am running the AVG Free version on Windows 10 64bit, and the most recent version of Libre Office 64 bit
