Outlook 2003 Hangs w/AVG

I understand the inconvenience.

Please disable the Email component (AVG >Menu > Settings > components > Email) and check if you are able to work on Outlook. If the issue fixed after disabling that component, please provide the complete screenshot [http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-create-a-screenshot] of the Outlook error message to check and assist further.

I am running AVG Free.  I use Outlook 2003 as my email.  However, it hangs at 50% when eiving and returns error message with (0x800CCC0F).  If I disable AVG it works fine.  Is there a way to temporarily disable AVG via command line or some other fix that may be useful.

I disabled email inbound scanning:
Menu > Settings > Components > Email Shield > unchecked Scan Inbound Mail.
It is now working fine.  If I recheck (enable) Inbound Scanning I receive the attached error.
