VPN stops outlook from receiving emails. I tried changing location to Perth and it worked for awhile but is now not working again. I need to turn off VPN to get my mail.
I am using Windows 10. My settings are already exacltly as per article.
Error in outlook is:
Task 'Synchronizing subscribed folders for myrim.margolis@bigpond.com.' reported error (0x800CCC0E) : 'Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for myrim.margolis@bigpond.com. Error: Cannot connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
If I turn AVG Secure VPN off then outlook works.

Regarding your concern, it seems like your previous location has some error. Reason being you can't receive/send email, so please change the VPN to some other location and check the issue.
Kindly let us know if the issue persists even after changing a new location.
