Disabling "Scan inbound emails" option will skip the email scanning and it is not recommended to disable this option. I appreciate your efforts in resolving the issue. Hi- I am using AVG Free. In recent weeks Outlook won't connect with Gmail. In he last couple of days, I have discovered I can connect with Gmail if I uncheck 'Scan inbound emails (POP3, IMAP4) and 'Scan outbound emails (SMTP)'
I deleleted AVG and reinstalled it but the problem came back quickly… I then reset AVG to default values but the problem came back. I still have the issue but live with it by keeping the email scanner boxes unchecked. Can you help please?
