Outlook not working

Since installing AVG my office 365 outlook will not send or recieve emails. Looks like a setting in the firewall but unable to fix it. I have repaired AVG and also uninstalled and reinstalled the outlook connector but still unable to recieve emails. It connects to the server and syncs without errors, just doesnt show any emails.

I get that this is over 3 years old.. but what kind of crappy AVG employee calls dissabling email scanning (part of the reason for purchasing this AV program) a resolution.. ? 

 

I don't find this rather alarming to say the least!!

I have to agree with Nick Gilbert's post. After using AVG freee for many years, last week's program update caused my Outlook to stop receiving email. I uninstalled the EMail component of AVG to "fix" the problem, but now have no email scanning!

I figured it out, I ended up having to disable email scanner and outlook add in and works fine now.

Hi…Have you checked your email settings in AVG advanced settings…if that's all right…what about the settings within Outlook itself…under Options / Add-Ins…I had the same problem and it was because the Add-in had been disabled, for some reason,…hope this helps…
