Hello Cathy,
This is Andre from AVG Senior Support. Thanks for writing and I apologize about this situation. It would be great to have a support package to see all the logs:
Export from registry (right click in the tree on Parameters -> Export )
This section in the registry is protected by Self Defense, so if you want to delete it by yourself, you would have to:
Switch off Self Defense (Settings ->Troubleshooting-> uncheck Enable Self-Defense and Confirm)
Delete the registry entries
Switch on Self Defense - either from the main window in AV or by Settings ->Troubleshooting-> check Enable Self-Defense
I hope this was helpful and if you need anything else, please let us know.
Regards, Andre
This may seem like an odd topic but bear with me. I use Registry First Aid (Version 11) to declutter my registry and clean up invalid entries. However, lately, there are more and more entries being added for AVG that CANNOT be edited or removed. The current number is 754 Invalid Paths!!!
All the entries look something like this:
0 Key: "[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE] \SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\avgRvrt\Parameters\Instup_20.1.5069.0_132271413571491947"
Value "SetupOperations" has invalid file reference: "RemoveDir("??\C:\Program Files\AVG\Antivirus\setup\New_14010c28",FALSE,FALSE) | RemoveDir("??\C:\Program Files\AVG\Antivirus\setup\New_14010c28",FALSE,FALSE) | RemoveDir("??\C:\Program Files\AVG\Antivirus\setup\New_14010c28",FALSE,FALSE) | RemoveDir("??\C:\Program Files\AVG\Antivirus\setup\New_14010c28",FALSE,FALSE) | RemoveDir("??\C:\Program Files\AVG\Antivirus\setup\New_14010c28",FALSE,FALSE) | RemoveDir("??\C:\Program Files\AVG\Antivirus\setup\New_14010c28",FALSE,FALSE) | RemoveDir("??\C:\Program Files\AVG\Antivirus\setup\New_14010c28",FALSE,FALSE) | RemoveDir("??\C:\Program Files\AVG\Antivirus\setup\New_14010c28",FALSE,FALSE) | "
Invalid value: C:\Program Files\AVG\Antivirus\setup\New_14010c28
Correction: "Delete invalid entry"
Status: check failed
Risk level is: Extreme Caution
Correction: [0] "Leave the entry without change"
Correction: [1] "Delete invalid entry"
Correction: [2] "Cut substring "C:\Program Files\AVG\Antivirus\setup\New_14010c28""
Each one references a different "avgRvrt\Parameters\Instup_" file. I have tried to manually edit/delete these settings in Regedit to no avail. I'm getting frustrated!!
I really like AVG products and I have a license that covers multiple machines AND my phones. However, if I can't get my registry cleaned up, I may just uninstall the whole thing and throw away my license keys for all the products I'm currently using. Any suggestions?

Hello Cathy,
You’re welcome and I apologize that I forgot to provide you with instructions on how to submit a report file. The easiest way would be to use AVG SysInfo. You can find detailed instructions at the following link: Submitting a support file using AVG SysInfo | AVG (https://is.gd/OQhZE3" style="color:#0563c1; text-decoration:underline).
