I am not sure who best to put this to, but in the latest PSA that was put in the app, there is a dangerous overgeneralization. It states to “NEVER download a zip file”, when it should have said “never from and email, pop-up, or other unknown source”. There are plenty of applications out there that distribute via zip file, one is Notepad++. However these apps will remind you in the app to update and redirect you to their official site to download the update.
