There is no Repair button. I'm using WIN 8.1 and my only option is "Uninstall" or "change"

I use AVG Ultimate. It updated on my laptop 2 hours ago and worked just fine. MS updates forced a re-boot and now 2 components (email and web protection) report partially protected. The FIX NOW button does not do anything to "fix it". When I click on the specific component buttons I recieve the following messages: "EMS is stopping" and "Online shield not protected". Since the FIX NOW button isn't working, how do I get these two components back to full functionality?
