The update issue got resolved in the latest update. Please update your AVG program to v18.3 and check if that fix the issue.

Hi there.

Just a quick solution for the above issue.  I used to have this problem since end March 2018 and contacted support.  Uninstalled, reinstalled and it was still there.

I found out that if the AVG VPN is used, the set up works fine then. Same for the update of the program.  I am using AVG Internet Security.  I do not know if it works with other VPN services but do give it a try.

Thought I'd share it for those who have been struggling with it like me.
