Password hacked....?

Hi thanks for your quick reply,

Yes she received it from AVG and will ask her to update asap and do a
full scan. However my question was whether the intruder would have
been able to get into the forum, or would they have been blocked from
entering it instantly ?

Thanks again

Hello Arca. Thank you for contacting us. May I know is that from AVG that she had received the red warning? Please ask her to update AVG to latest virus definitions and run a whole computer scan.

Hello Arca. Yes, you can be assured of your identity safety as AVG is actively protecting you against the intruders.

Hi new member here however not familar with AVG.

I run a forum and yesterday evening one of my members who has "AVG anti virus protection"  reported that she'd had a flashing red warning that her password had been hacked/compromised by someone with a different email address to hers but which had by chance been correctly guessed. She's since changed her password and although it's likely there isn't a problem, wanted to make sure/ be re-assured that whoever it was would have been blocked immediately and unable to do anything further.

Grateful thanks in advance…

Hi thanks,

It's actually a question of how quickly AVG works not just about blocking the intruder alone, meaning would they have had time to do any damage ? If it's less than 3 or 4 seconds that would be ok, but any longer means we'll have to start checking for problems etc....
