I find that somehow my Password protection is being switched off by something. I can switch it on and check a couple of hours later and it's off again. What can I do to prevent it from being switched off.

We'd like to inform that component disable issue has been identified as a bug and our developers are working on a fix.
Until then, we'd request to uninstall AVG using clear tool (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Uninstall-AVG-software-Clear-Remover) and install it again.
