Password protection - maybe

For the past few weeks I have been getting a windows popup advising words to the effect of "\AVG\Antivirus\x86\firefox_pass.dll is not a valid Win32 application"

Given that I did not purchase this product, but probably clicked the wrong yes/no option on one of the many unwanted popups that AVG seems to be infested with - WHAT is the effect of my now continuing to ignore this error message?

Alternative query: how can I get rid of it?

And FFS - please top with the popups!  Great product, but very annoying and ineffective sales pitch.

Just popped up again out of the blue - over 4 hours since the PC was powered up?

Same message as posted above - and no, as far as I'm aware, I have never used AVG "Password Protection" even though I'm somehow now being billed for it - but never mind that.

Error msg re avg-dll unable to load

And yes, would appreciate it if you "proceed further".
