Password Protection not working

I understand your concern.

You have an active subscription of AVG Password Protection valid till 2019.5.18.

AVG Internet Security you have on your account will not work with AVG Password Protection as both use different activation method.

I have sent you an email, please follow the steps from the email and upgrade AVG Internet Security you have to AVG Internet Security Unlimited.

This unlimited version will work fine with password protection as both these products use same activation method.

Could this be the reason...anybody??

We are currently undergoing a major system update which may prevent your AVGproducts from appearing in your AVG MyAccount. This issue does not impact the functionality of your previously installed products, nor does it affect the installation or activation processes of newly purchased AVG products.

This eventually worked per email instructions.

 

Now I have a new issue with "Unidentified network" appearing in Network Profiles I have been told in an email TODAY that:

 

"Regarding, network profile concern, it seems that there is a (Unknown) wifi connection near your device which is showing as "unidentified network". "

 

AND THAT....

"If there are no other wifi connection available near the device, you shouldn't get "unidentified network" listed. "

So, I have scanned for any 'unidentified networks' WiFi network or 'unknown netorks' near my WiFi device (within 100 meters range) and all appear locked per usual and behaving normally and ALL have a NAME for each ...NONE show up as unidentfied.

 

So why am I still seeing "unidentfied network' in AVG Network Profiles ??

I paid for 'Password Protection' and it doesn't show that it is "Installed" I already have AVG Internet Security "Installed".

 

Why doesn't "Password Protection" show as installed when that's what I paid for?

It's always logged in ...should I log out and log back in?

 

Also, in your email you wrote "Once you upgrade to AVG Internet Security Unlimited, this product will get activated using your AVG MyAccount email address and password." - This happened automatically 

Then..."Please open AVG Internet Security, click on "My AVG->My Subscription". From here remove the license and login to your AVG MyAccount to activate the product." - Did you meant to actually remove the licence? I tried that but didn't make any differnce to get back in I had to use the old licence key to get protected.

"This will install AVG Password Protection automatically on your computer." ...no it didn't.

Here is the screeshot after reinstalling 3 times...no change!

Still no change ...doesn't show "installed" but does for Antivirus ONLY

I really appreciate your effort in trying to fix this issue. At this point, I request you to follow the email instruction (below instruction from the email) to connect with us remotely. We will check with your installed AVG Internet Security and we will help you to fix the AVG password Protection issues as quickly and effectively as possible.

Marcus, we have refreshed the license from our end. Please open AVG Internet Security and relogin to your AVG account.

If the issue persists, then please follow the steps from the email and get connected with our remote support.

AVG Internet Security and AVG Internet Security Unlimited have same AVG interface.

I installed as per instructions and required a reboot which I did and nothing has changed …Still says Internet Security but not Internet Security Unlimited …yet I have an email thanking me for upgrading to Internet Security Ulimited…so what happened there?
