We'd like to inform that this has been identified as a bug and our developers are working on a fix.
As a temporary resolution, we'd request to uninstall AVG using clear tool (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Uninstall-AVG-software-Clear-Remover) and install it again.
My PC has also got the same problem with AVG. Password Protection turns off on Log Out. Can't find and answer on the Net.
