I have password protection on my laptop and the program will not work when i manually run it i just get a black screen with the little wheel going round and round

all my other avg products are working fine ,and there was no error message ,i have a black screen and the little blue wheel going around and aroud and i have left it there for over 15 minutes and it stays the same

i have had this on my laptop for over a year and it worked fine untill about a week ago it seems to be working on the schedule that i have it set on but it will not work when i manually use it ,i have not instaled anything new on my laptop for months
