Password Protection

I have recently renewed my subscriptions for AVG Internet Security and Password Protection. Today I downloaded the most recent version of Internet Security from My Account after verifying my subscription status, installed it and activated it with my current Licence Key. The regular AVG icon  appeared on my desktop but the red Key for Password Protection did not.
    When I opened the menu in the main screen I found that PP needed to be installed so I clicked on that which started an installation which ran for some minutes. When it ended there was a small box with a button marked DONE which I clicked: this generated a larger box with the message YOUR SUBSCRIPTION HAS BEEN CANCELLED! in red. Internet Security still worked but PP was still marked to be installed.
    I then uninstalled Internet Security and downloaded  Version 20.9.3152 described as Unlimited from Softonic which behaved in exactly the same way. When I checked the installed files I could not find anything tagged with a Red Key icon which suggests that something is missing.
    I am using a Desktop PC running Windows 10 64-bit Home Edition.
