Have you recently changed your google password before getting this alert from AVG Password Protection?
AVG Password Protection won't give false alerts, there should be a reason behind every notice from our AVG program.
If you do get this alert once again, please provide us the screenshot of the alert message to check the exact reason for the alert and to assist you further.
I have changed my password for google/chrome 3 times now because password protection keeps telling me my account has been breached. is there something wrong with password protection as all of my other avg products and also google security say there is nothing wrong with my account?

No, I hadn't changed my password for a few years. After I installed password protection, it came up with the breach message so I changed the google password and it didn't pop up for about a week. Then it came up again so I changed it and a few days later it did it again so I changed the password again. Now it has come up again. Its getting really annoying!
