Click on AVG icon to open the AVG Control Panel. In the upper right hand corner is a heading called Options with a downwards arrow next to it.
Click on this downward arrow and clic on Adanced Settings. Anothe window will open. Down the rigt hand side you will see a heading Temporarily Disble AVG Protection. You will then be faced with one small panel that says Temporarily Disable AProtection. Click on this and you will then be faced with a screen that gves you an option that sys Disable AVG for: chose a time choice for either 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes or Until Restart.
You will then be taken to the nex screen that asks if you really want to temporarily want to temporarily disable AVGTuneUp? Click yes. AVG will automatically restart when your computer restarts.
Can you tell me how to pause or shut off AVG for a little while. Downloads from Microsoft will not complete with it running.
Also: Can;'t open .wps or .txt The words are all jumbles.
