Pause, Status and Report Problems

My PC recently updated to AVG Free version 17.3.3011. I cannot now find any option to temporarily pause a scan, nor to find reports about previous scans. I click on "Antivirus Free" in Zen which shows "Scanning". Clicking on the "Scanning" button brings up a status window that shows 0% despite the fact it has been running for nearly 2 hours. The only option on that screen appears to be "STOP SCAN". I tried that last time and it did just that - no report of what had been achieved, no option to restart and I cannot find anywhere to see the results of previous scans. My PC is pretty much useless for any other task while the scan is in progress. Is there any way to temporarily pause and to see a report?
