Hi all , just upgraded my Agv anti - virus too 2014 as my old Avg was due to expire in a view days, now when i attempt a whole computer scan , the scan starts for a few seconds then my sceen goes blue with following message : STOP : c000021a { Fatal System Error }

I'm running vista on an old dell inspiron, however i've never had this happen before while scanning with AVG, everything else works fine , can still access internet and other programmes.
Any help would be much appreciated

In order to analyze it please provide us with diagnostic output (http://www.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_SysInfo.exe) using this tool and please add detailed description of issue.

Try running the scan in Safe Mode. You could also choose "un-install" (have serail number ready just in case, and it should give you the option for "repair" without un-installing. This has been my past experiences. If that doesn't work, I would do a complete un-install and re-install. It only takes a few minutes. Get a fresh install from the AVG website.

Hi, please try to run a full system scan in safe mode (usually F8 after ram check, see here-> Windows startup settings - Microsoft Support). Have you experienced a BSOD (blue screen of death) in safe mode?
