PC Tuneup 2015 no Updates - Do Loop

I forgot to say that AVG downloads and all Microsoft Updates download just fine.

I have had PC Tuneup for 10 months or more and cannot get updates. I get notices they are available. When attempting to download I get a dialog box asking me to select an internet connection. Selecting either option gets me a second dialog box telling me to be sure internet access is not blocked. Well, it is on in the background. Hit OK and I get the first dialog box again. Never downloads the updates. Running Mozilla  browser and Win 8 on the laptop.
