PC TuneUp always shows Maintenance has not been run in more than 14 days, even after multiple runs

The PC TuneUp software will always show that the Maintenance has "Not run in more than 14 days", even right after running multiple scans. I have it set to NOT clean the registry, I have had BAD experiences with registry cleaning, and I have it set to NOT remove broken shortcuts, I am afraid that this will cause errors, I believe it did once so I disabled it. Is it because I have it set to not perform those functions, or is it a glitch that causes it to always display Maintenance has not run in 14 days? How do I fix this?

I have clicked the fix button each time and the process succesfully completes each time. How do I update the program?
