Hello Ted. explorer.exe is related to your Internet Explorer application and it is the issue with the Windows. AVG PC TuneUp won't cope up with this issue. Please contact Microsoft support to resolve this.
Hello Ted. If you would like to uninstall IE, please follow the steps below.
Click the Start button, and enter Programs and features in the search box.
Click Programs and Features in the list of results, and then click View installed updates.
Under Microsoft Windows, right-click Internet Explorer, and then click Uninstall.
In the Uninstall an update dialog box, click Yes to uninstall.
Click Restart now to finish uninstalling and restore previous versions of the browser, or click Restart later.

Thank you - I have IE downloaded but actually use Google Chrome - if I delete IE will that solve my problem?
explorer.exe is affecting my start-up and close down actions - computer has long delays in closing down and sometimes won't close at all - and startup fails and I occasionally need to stop and reboot 2 or 3 times before getting startup operating. Should PC TuneUp cope with these problems?
