Hello Sam.
We'll certainly look into this. Since when are you experiencing this issue and which version of AVG TuneUp are using? Please check for the software installed around the date from which this issue has started and try uninstalling them.
We'd also request to share a screenshot (http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot) of the error message you receive.
huh well all I did was go into safe mode and went back to a restore point that was still after all of the deleted ones and that fixed it. But I still don't undersatnd what was causing theproblemin the first place.

Cannot open colume for direct access.
Autochk cannot run due to an error caused by a recently installed software package.
use system restore feature from the control panel to restore to system restore software package installation.

What software could be affecting this? I already uninstalled all of my data recovery softwares which is what I suspected but apparently that didn't help.
I am using just AVG PC Tuneup. I tried to run the check disk for errors features and this error shows up when the comupter starts up. I don't know what software is causing this or when this happened.
Sam, we are not sure with the exact issue we assume that it may be due to the recent updates in your Windows.
Since the issue has been fixed we cannot find the root cause of the issue.

Thank you for the screenshot.
It seems that the disk checkup did not work and you need to do a system restore.
We request you to do a force restart by pressing the power button for few seconds. Once this is done, please keep tapping space key to skip the scan and check if you are able to boot into your computer normally.
Sam, we realize the situation.
Please restart your Windows operating system in Safe Mode which is necessary for performing certain troubleshooting tasks with AVG software products.
Refer this article (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=AVG-Restart-Windows-Safe-Mode) for the instructions and keep us posted whether you are able to do.
Thank you.
I already deleted the previous restore points before I discovered this.
what exactly should I be looking for in the boot sequences?
