Hello, Larry.
It is not definite how much time it would take to defragmentation. It depends upon your hard disk size. Did you try to run defragmentation alone instead from maintenance tasks? If you have not tried it, please follow the below instructions.
1.Open AVG PC Tune Up.
2.Click on All Functions.
3.Select Defragment disk under Hard disks.
4.Select Next and then choose Run fast defragmentation.
5.Click Next.
Hello,
as the topic says, I have downloaded AVG PC Tuneup (free trial version) and the maintenance gets stuck on disk defragmentation every time I run it, not completing the defrag even after running for 5 hours straight. I have also tried setting maintenance on "fast defragmentation", but after more than 4 hours it still hadn't finished. Moreover, there is no way of knowing how much the defragmentation itself has progressed, since there isn't a completion bar.
Is there a way to fix this?
