Do you see the process of AVG PC TuneUp running in the background?
Could you get into uninstall program window as mentioned in this http://avgread.me/1DEtNP0 article and check whether you could see AVG PC TuneUp name in the list?

Just bought free trial of PC Tuneup, it's on my ACG dashboard saying Installed & there's a shortcut on my desktop but it won't open
