I am sure you can read the heading of this comment so your question about booting into safe mode is nonsensical. There are no program updates for my XP which I still need to use for old programs that I need for editing. My XP still worked faster than my brand new Win10 laptops but I regress. Until the driver issue that stopped it. I have checked my pc with Hiron's boot cd and there are no issues with my hard drive or RAM. I would appreciate a link to an old version of AVG Rescue CD - I did see this in an AVG comment but it has been taken down. I am sure that you can help a loyal AVG customer out by providing this - my last ditch effort in retaining my pc. Your answer to this should provide me a link to the AVG Rescue disk - nothing else. I am not conducive to receiving platitudes.
Hello Carolyn,
We realize this must be upsetting. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Did you update AVG program before your PC crashes? Can you elaborate on that, please?
We'd like to inform that AVG Rescue CD has been discontinued and there is no alternative at the moment.
If you are able to boot your PC in safe mode, we can install AVG program and analyze what had happened to check the root cause. Since you're facing issues with it, we request you to reinstall windows operating system and check the status.

I have downloaded the AVG Rescue disk - will not load. I have tried numerous other antivirus disks, mini XP, etc and nothing will load. How do I access my files in order to rename the problematic AVG drivers. Ironically AVG has been sending me no reply emails to renew my Internet Security. I contacted them on an old email invoice and and have heard nothing.
My email to them:
Cannot renew as AVG drivers have stopped my XP from loading yesterday - Sep 22/19. Reviewed info online and downloaded the AVG Rescue CD 120_160420a12074 but when the bootable CD loads I get ISOLINUX 6.02 2013-10-13 ETCD. Can't find any earlier versions, they all are 404.

C Smith, unfortunately, AVG Rescue CD is no longer supported or updated so we cannot guarantee its operation.
We'd request you to use Windows XP installation disc to access the system repair options.
