Suddenly, a couple of days ago, when I try to save a particular WORD file as a PDF I get a message that AVG has quarantined the file as contaminated with PDF:UrlMal-inf[Trj] (apparently a trojan). This does not happen when I try to same other WORD files as PDF. The file I tried to save is one that I've had and occasionally updated for years (contains only typed names and addresses). I had just added a new address, pasted from an email, but nothing that required clicking on a link or opening a different file.
When I scan the WORD file with AVG, it finds it clean.
When I scan my WINWORD.EXE file, it shows clean.
When I scan my PDF reader, if shows clean.
A complete AVG system scan shows clean.
(1) Do I actually have the trojan, or is this an anomaly
(2) If I have it, how do I get rid of it?
(3) Why didn't AVG recognize and prevent the infection in the first place?
Thanks,
Bill
