PDF:UrlMal-inf[Trj]

Hello Kevin,

I regret for the inconvenience caused. Please disable AVG temporarily in your computer and check if you are able to access PDF files in your computer.

To disable AVG temporarily, please right click on the AVG icon present at the bottom right corner of your desktop(System Tray) and you can see a scroll bar to "Disable Protection". Please click on the same to disable AVG Protection and after which check if you are able to access this applications.

Thank you for the reply.

I should have mentioned that I tried this and it did not work either. I uninstalled the product and only then could I open a PDF or attach it to an email.

hi everyone just recently encountered this "PDF:UrlMal-inf [Trj]" using the application from ebook-converter.com. From reading comments above it appears this was not acually a virus? I am just a little confused if this is or is not a threat to my computer.
many thanks for your time
cheers

I am downloading a PDF rendition of a Google Drive Doc. When I open it, I got the error PDF:UrlMal-inf[Trj]. I also tried downloading the same Doc as an Openoffice file. The Openoffice files opens but as soon as I export it as a PDF I get the same error.

[note: I would give you a screenshot but since I did the update mentioned in the next paragraph, I no longer get a warning. It just does not open or offer an alert.]

After this happened three times, I updated to:
AGV AntiVirus Free version 17.6.3029
AGV Framework version 1.224.3.14229
AGV Setup version 1.224.3.14229

Since the update, when I attempt to open the PDF with  Acrobat Reader I get an alert box that states:

"Operation did not complete successfully because the file contains a virus or potentially unwanted software."

I am confident that Google is not sending me trojans and past PDFs that did not give me issues in the past now do. I cannot open any PDFs on this machine with AGV AntiVirus Free installed.

Thank you for the information.
In this case, I request you to install AVG Antivirus free again to check whether the issue occurs again.
To install it please follow the steps as mentioned in this article: http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-AntiVirus-Free .
Keep us informed about the status.
