PEbiosinterface32.dll

Hello!

Started my pc today as usually. Opened steam, and out of nowhere AVG opens with this kind of message.

Name: Trojan Horse Generic_r.HOI
Location: c:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\AXSP\1.01.02\PEbiosinterface32.dll

I am 100% sure that this is false positive, because it is a part of ASUS motherboard utilities.
Everytime i restart my pc AVG opens and says the same thing, So now my virus vault looks like a christmas tree.

I have already submitted it for analysis.
Is anybody else having this or is it just me.
sry for broken english.

Also having same issue. Really annoying that I have to register and comment here to get the solution. It shouldn't be kept a big secret. Please email this secret solution to the PEbiosinterface32.dll Trojan issue.

It doesn't run from Chrome, either.

Hello Kevin,
We certainly understand your concern. We have sent you an email instruction to get connected with our technical support team. Please follow those instructions to get in touch with them and you should be able to resolve your issue. Thank you.

Hello Martin,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Unfortunately we couldn't view the email address of yours in our record so we couldn't send you the email instructions from here.
We request you to contact our technical support via https://support.avg.com/support_contact_form?l=&retUrl=support_sales to get assistance regarding this and they will help you to get our additional support.

The link isn't going to a chat operative (tried in IE and Edge). Just "Loading…"

Will try again later.

Must admit I'm getting a bit miffed with AVG. First they remove the spam buttons from Outlook without warning (and I get inundated with it again), now this.

Alan, I have scanned the files individually using AVG, VirusTotal, and SpyBot. They are clean.

I will wait until I can speak with Chat support and if they insist on copies of the files then they can have them. I am not getting involved with the basic, first-line routine stuff when I already know the issue is with AVG having done those scans.

But thanks anyway
