I am sorry to hear this. Since you have already tried repair of AVG, I request you to perform completely reinstallation using the removal tools.

Once both the removal tools completes its process, install AVG Antivirus free using this link: http://files-download.avg.com/inst/mp/Antivirus_Free_1817.exe and check whether the issue persists.
Since the last AVG Free update I can only use the internet with AVG switched off as it is so slow and doesn't load pages correctly? I have followed the programmes, change, repair, reboot process, but it doesn't make any difference.
The version I have loaded is:
Build Number: 1.201.3.7082
AVG Antivirus Free Version: 17.5.3021
AVG Framework Version: 1.214.3.8613
AVG Setup Version: 1.214.3.8613
As you can probably tell I am no IT expert, but would appreciate any help or advice as currently this is unusable.
