Hi Martha,
This isn't the experience we want you to have. We'd like to look into this & clarify.
Please share us the screenshot of the email that you've received & let us know the sender's email address for better clarity.
I got this email today and do not want to participate in the program. I WILL NOT GIVE AVG PERMISSION TO DO THIS. I'm not certain that I want to continue using AVG in the future,

We’d like your permission to securely link your payment-card details to your AVG Account. This will allow you to buy AVG subscriptions without re-entering your card number every time. It’s an easier, faster way to shop! | ||
Your payment-card details are currently stored with our authorized payment provider, Digital River. With your permission, we would securely link this info to your AVG Account for future purchases. |
Thank you for sharing the screenshot, Martha.
Yes, it is legitimate email from AVG to update your payment card details.
You can ignore the email if you don't want to renew AVG subscription automatically.
Also you will get an email notification for the renewal of AVG subscriptions and renew it manually from your end by contacting our AVG billing & sales team using this link: https://support.avg.com/support_sales_chat?l=en and they will help you to renew at best offer price.
Thank you.
I don't think this worked, but it letter was sent by AVG and a copied is with my original complaint.
I DO NOT WANT MY PAYMENT-CARD TO BE USED AUTOMATICALLY.
