Pesky notifications for AVG Driver update

Hello Maree,

We apologize for the inconvenience caused.
Those pop ups/notifications are promotions from the AVG to let you know other available products.
Anyway to disable those promotions, go to :
AVG >> Menu >> Settings >> General >> Privacy Policy  
Un-check those two 'Show offers' to disable promotions

How do I stop getting notifications for a product i do not want!  The notification forces itself on me at the most inconvenient times , often when time for other tasks is pressing.
